We've actually got Sesam Stasjon (Sesame Station), and a woman on that show was calle Leonora. She was blonde with curly hair. Reminds me of singing, too.

I think Mara means "bitter" in some language. I have a friend named Mara who used to go by Bitter Sea online sometimes because they were two meanings of her name.

Mara actually means bitter; I love it but it doesn't give me a happy feeling.

My impression of Lenora comes from a poem I read when I was very young. The girl in the poem was Lenore, I think? I tried googling it for you but couldn't find it. (It's not "The Raven" that I'm thinking of, but something a lot less famous.)

I like both names (Mara and Lenora) a lot. As well as many of the others on your lists.

My new grandson is named Cameron so happy to see it on your list! I love it and nothing special comes to mind..I just like the sound of it! His parents second choice was Matthias and I love this one too. Matthias reminds me of Swedish hockey players...Matthias Ohlund plays on our team/NHL and he is my favourite player...also Cameron's father's! ;)

I fell in love with name Matthias when I started supporting some YWAM missionaries named Heather and Matthias. Matthias is from Sweden. I love that it's Biblical as well - I love Bible names but I don't want to like them just because they're Biblical. Matthias is kind of a little "surprise" of a name to me, which I love.

I do love Cameron but it means "crooked nose." Not so into that...

2. Cameron- I like the name, but the first Cameron I knew ruined the name for me
3. Dominick- I prefer it with just the c...I sounds Italian to me and I love it.
4. Elijah - I love it, but it immediately brings hobbits to mind

Interesting that Susanna seems common to you! It's not commonly-used at all, but I can see why it might sound common. It's probably my favorite girl name at this point, but all these names switch around a lot when it comes to favorites. Sounds like we have similar taste! Thanks for your input!

Yeah, Cullen is definitely ugly. :/. When I was in college the quarterback's name was Kellen. That's why I like it.

Which means my husband will never go for it....since we cheer for rivals. Boo.

I HATE that Eleanor is everyone's favorite name now. I think it's the most amazing name in the world (well, one) and I adore it because I adore Jane Austen-style names. Hopefully it won't become too popular. :/
