Heard from a friend I hadn't talked to in a while. She is due at the beginning of July and it is a girl. The name they have picked out is McKensie Anne. Their last name is McIntyre. Her name is going to be McKensie McIntyre. Bluh?

Why oh why can't people spell a name like it was meant to be spelled? On one hand I think that the name is too much, but on the other hand I think it's cute.

aside from the mispelling of Mackenzie, to have Mc...Mc is awful. Although MacMac is nice for a nn :P

I have a niece named MaKenzie Ann...or they might have changed it MaKenzie Renee at the last moment, I can never remember...Anyway, I don't especially like the name, but the worst part is that her last name is Curl. She sounds like a dance move. Do the MaKenzie--do the MaKenzie CURL!

Anyway, the Mac on top of a Mac, I agree, is pretty bad. I have a nephew named Ashton Johnson and while "ton" and "son" aren't QUITE the same, they're similar enough to make the name a bit awkward, in my books.

Are you sure they're aware of the craziness?

Also, Kensie Ann and Kensie McIntyre are both very pretty. Tell them some random chick online told them to just drop the Mc and they'd have the greatest name ever.

I agree about dropping the Mc. Sure, they're pronounced differently (and do sound nice together), but having four capital letters and both nam,es spelled with Mc is a bit much, imo.
