So I work at a preschool and there are a few great/interesting/common names for the children there. I just want to post some of them and see what you think.

Andrew-- i have always loved this name. i dont like drew or andy though.
Ben--ahh, one of my faves.
Brendan-- its ok...but i really would never use it.
Connor-- my brothers name. i love it, despite the popularity.
Carolina-- ick.
Cameron-- i love it. i don't think i'd use it...but its cute.
Carly-- i like it.
David-- good mn.
Elise-- ick.
Ella-- so cute...
Harrison-- i like it.
Haley- i don't like it spelled this way. but it was one of my faves when i was little.
Ivan-- it reminds me of the movie the squid and the whale.
Lorenzo-- ick.
Lauren-- my roommates name. i like it.
Lily-- LOVE! i like lilian best.
Maeve-- so cute.
Mark-- ehh...boring. marcus is cute. my cousin is marcos.
Martin-- 40 much?
Maya-- ehh.
Mia-- my mama's name. i love it.
Meghan-- this was my favorite in like 5th grade. i wanted to name my girl meaghan rayne. ughh.
Patrick-- its grown on me. i think its a strong name. i like the irish spelling padraic.
Owen-- i like it.
Olivia-- even though its #1...its so pretty.
Rian (girl)-- i know a girl ryan and i think its a good unisex name.
Rowen-- i really like the sound, but i don't like the mythical/fantasy whatever connotation.
Robbie-- grosssssssss.
Serina-- even grosser....
Slade-- houswive of oc much? i still like it, though.
Sami-- just sam, please.
Tess-- this was gonna be my brothers name if he was a girl. his name is aidan.
Zoe-- this was my dogs name. its always a dog name for me.

Adam- i love this name, but only because of adam levine of maroon 5 haha.
Andrew- eh.
Ben- love it. so cute on little boys.
Brendan-its ok.
Connor- i like it, and i prefer the -or spelling over the -er.
Carolina- north or south?
Cameron- its cute.
Carly- i knew someone i didnt like named carly, thats the only reason i dont like it.
David- too plain for me.
Elise- meh.
Ella- cute, but really popular.

Rian (girl)- to me ryan is a boys names, and i dont like boys names on girls.
Rowen- makes me think of mr. bean.

Slade- i thought of housewives of orange county too, and i just dont like it.
Sami-eh.
Tess-seems incomplete to me.
Zoe-a teacher i hated named her baby this,so i wouldnt use it, but its cute.

-Martin makes me think of my boyfriends cat lol
-How to you pronouce eoin? Does it sound like Owen
-Rowen is a girls name and Slade is a boys name

oh i like carolina pronounced like that! yes, eoin sounds exactly like owen. i didnt mean that slade was one of the housewives, one of their boyfriends is named slade. and rowen reminds me of mr bean because the actor who plays him is named rowan atkinson, thats all. but it is pretty.

Slade? LOL. I suspect some other parents on this list could have been influenced by favourite celebrities. The age of the children gives a clue as to whether they were named after a particular celebrity or not. A younger parent is more likely to name their child after someone of Robbie Williams' age than Mia Farrow's. Mind you, some are very pretty/likeable names and celeb's. I wonder if a Lorenzo would grow up to be extraordinary colourful character, or whether they'd want to sink into the background unnoticed?

As of right now, Lorenzo is a child who likes to sink into the background unnoticed. Who knows what he will be like in years to come.
