I haven't posted my favorite names in awhile. I was going through my list with my fiance last night and 50% of the names he hates and the other 50% he thinks are "alright". Thank you. :) The only person I knew with the name Addison was a boy in my high school. I didn't even realize it was a girls name as well until I started watching Grey's Anatomy. I do like it on a girl though. :)

Girls: Arabella is one of my all-time favorites. Shame your fiance hates it. Annabel/la is lovely as well. Isabel, Eva and Olivia are all beautiful names, but very popular right now -- I don't know if that matters to you or not. Madeline, Natalie and Cara I like as well, and Keilana I love. Is it a Hawaiian name?

Boys: Gideon, Julian, Christopher, Emerson (which makes me think of the Amelia Peabody novels, so I get a big kick out of it), Noah, and Dean I like a lot. I wouldn't name a boy Ainsley -- I believe that it was once a boy's name, but I always think of it as feminine now (probably because of The West Wing). Addison I wouldn't chose for anyone, because it makes me think of the disease. That's probably just me.

Anyway, most of your names are great! Tell your fiance he's crazy. :)

Oh, and Adelaide? Is fantastic. Makes me think of Guys and Dolls. I'd hear Frank Sinatra singing "Adelaide, Adelaide!" in my head all the time if I had a girl with that name. (Yes, I'd consider that a good thing.) :)

Keilana is from a Hawaiian name that I think someone else mentioned. It was Keilani but I like the naa sound better than the nee sound. :) She could also go by Lana which I like as well.

I wasn't sure about Ainsley either. I like it as a middle name but it could go both ways, male or female.

What disease?? Eww.

We weren't sure whether it was more feminine or masculine to use. He actually said it was alright for both sexes though which was surprising. Kaylin for a girl and Caelan/Kalen for a boy. They're all pronounced the same way.
