My baby is finally here!!

Destannie Marie Hill born July 1st @ 11:29 am. She was 8 lbs. 14 oz. 19 ins. long :D


So anyways this is how my labor went...I started having contractions thursday afternoon and I thought they were strong but I waited until 7:30 to go to the hospital because thats when I was being induced. They hooked me up to the monitors and whatnot and even though I was very uncomfortable, they said my contractions werent very strong. The checked me at like 9 and I was still only a 1 so they started the medicine..I think it was called cytotec or something. It was a pill I took by mouth. Around 11 I got very uncomfortable and I wanted some pain medicine but I was only allowed to have 2 doses and I would only be able to get them 4 hours apart so I decided to wait until the pain got worse so they gave me a sleeping pill called ambien but it didnt do anything! I was still hurting. Around 1 they checked me and I was 3 so I decided to get the pain medicine. Whoo that was good! It knocked me out! At 5 they checked and I was a 4 and the gave me the cytotec again and then around 6 I got the epidural. Oh that was the best!! I recommend it to anyone!! lol! They came back to check me at 8 and I was a 10! I was like NO WAY! She said her head was still a lil high so they made me sit up and they came back at 11 and her head was down and I was ready to push. Thats when I got nervous! I told Robert that I was scared and he was like calm down baby you will do fine! I started pushing and I didnt think i was gonna be able to get her out! It hurt like hell!! Everyone said I was pushing very good though! I started getting very tired and i was about to give up..i was like get her out of me! i was like yall help me!! She had to cut me a lil bit and finally at 11:29 my angel was here!! It was sooo amazing! She is a great baby! Shes breastfeeding and doing a good job! At first it was a lil tough but the lactation nurse helped me and she does so well! She latches on great and sucks so hard! Im proud of my baby girl! Her daddy is so proud too! Hes a great daddy! We came home yesterday and she has a little bit of jaundice so we had to take her back to the hospital today and they had to draw blood and we have to take her to the pediatrician tomorrow and hopefully everything will be ok. As soon as possible i will get more pictures on here!

By the way, I think when I'm older I'll be one of those grandmothers and/or aunts who kids avoid because I have the cheek-clamping fingers of doom.
