I would never use a weekday name on a child but I do really like the name Wednesday. I had a slight Addam's Family obsession and the name kinda stuck. :) I may use it on my kitten I'm getting in July.
there is a beatles song with the lyric "sunday's on the phone to monday, tuesday's on the phone to me" which always made me think 'tuesday' would be a great name for a girl. (i love the beatles.)
there is also a series of books by jasper fforde where the main character is a woman named "thursday next" (her mother was wednesday and her grandmother was tuesday!)
so, YES! i think tuesday is a wonderful name for a girl!! :)
I think I would. I've heard of someone named Sunday.
I like Sunday the best, followed by Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm not sure how I feel about the other days of the week, but I don't think I would use saturday. It sounds too...something...maybe too harsh...
I also forgot to mention that I think I would stick to using something like this for a middle name. I think it's cute and all, to be named Sunday or Tuesday, but I also think if it were a first name it might lead to teasing. I like the idea for a mn, though
I don't think I'd use them as names myself, but I do think they're pretty. Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, at least.
But Tuesday always reminds me of a regular named Tuesday at my old job; I had an idea she had once been a stripper, though, so maybe it wasn't even her real name.
I had a friend who named her daughter Wensdae. After I heard it, I did an Internet search and found that there were a few Wensdaes out there. Anyway, that aside, I'd always think of Wednesday Addams, so that would be out of the question.
Sunday would also be pretty as a name, and Saturday seems kind of odd, but I've always liked the sound of it. Friday originally brings to mind Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday, but since that's not actually her character's name, I would move on to the guy who was basically a servant from Robinson Crusoe. Monday would bring to mind Dog Monday from Rilla of Ingleside.
So maybe I'm just biased against using most of them. Still, pretty.

Blu Mondae is a stripper in one episode of Nip/Tuck season 4 :P
I am really surprised no one made reference to Lynyrd Skynyrd. I love the name Tuesday and would use it for a girl. Also, my mom almost named me Tuesday but went with Whitney instead.
I don't see the point in using a name that is a word if that word doesn't even have a nice meaning. Weekdays are just the name for a regular, repeating, 24 hour period of time. It's not even a nice word name like Summer or Joy.

I wouldn't like Wednesday (makes me think of the Addams girl) nor Thursday and Saturday because of how they sound.
Sunday is quite nice because it sounds to me almost like "sunny day", so that's a good charm
