How about Devin Liam?

Jack is a good NN for Jonathan.

I only like that and Elijah out of your set, sorry. Or just Jett Liam by itself.

Jack is my favorite nickname for John - and as far as nicknames go - I have a nickname and the only time I ever had trouble was the first day of school. :-)

If you name him Jonathan, he WILL be called Jon, in school and later on through his life, whether you like it or not.

i agree... but, my name is Jennifer. we had about three Jennifers in our class, i was the ONLY one called Jenn, the other two went by Jennifer.

my friend in school, his name was Henry Richard, he went by Rick.

so long as you start calling him by the nickname that you like, then make it clear as he enters school, he will most likely be called it. not by EVERYONE, but atleast in school situations, etc.

I only like Elijah out of your list, but I have a couple suggestions for nick names for Jon.

Jonny
Joe
Joey
Nate
Nathan
Liam (since that's his middle name)

I agree with the above poster, he will be called Jon sometime in his life, whether at school, work, social settings...and you never know, he may like it! If you're dead set against him being called Jon, I wouldn't name him Jonathan.

How about Jonah? Do you like that name instead of Jonathan?

I'm partial to Jarrett myself, as it's my hubby's name, and my favourite boy's name. :)

I love Liam. Also, Quinn. Elijah is also very cute! I second that nickname Eli, too.

Jarrett Liam sounds very nice. I am partial to Jett because it was James Dean's character in "Giant" :)

i love the way vaughn liam rolls off of my tongue. i like devin liam as well. avoid using first names that contain an "l" in them, because it makes the name sound weird. devlin liam is a great example, because it doesn't roll off your tongue easily. i hope that my contribution helped you. =)

names....

Another nickname possiblity for Jonathan is Than. It sounds kind of funny, but I grew up with a boy in school who's always been called Than and it really does grow quite catchy, especially if you want something unique.
