My names

I posted a while ago, but I've updated the list and such things!

I'm also interested in the meanings - if I've got these wrong please correct me!

My name - Kate - 'pure'
BF's name - Gary - 'spear rule'

Girls
Imogen Daire - 'innocent maiden', 'fruitful'
Alex Elizabeth - 'defender of men', 'God is my oath'
Sara - 'princess'

I really want Imogen Elizabeth, but I though it was a bit of a mouthful...

Boys
Dylan - 'Born from the Ocean'
Finn - 'fair'
Kester - 'Bearer of Christ'
James - 'Supplanter'
Tristan - 'Tumult'
Julian - 'Downy youth'
Jack - 'God is gracious'
Caspian - From the Chronicles of Narnia.

Not decided middle names yet! I love all of them as first names too much!

Ok, is Caspian going too far? Most of my names are 'normal', but I just love this name!
Also, James is my half brothers name, but I've never been very close to him and we only saw each other a few times a year, and even less now! It's one of my favourite names, but is it too close for me to use?

Comments? Thoughts?

I'd say Caspian's not too far out there. If anyone questioned it, you could point to the Caspian Sea as an example, if you felt strange explaining about the book. I like the name, too, although I don't know what nicknames might be derived from it.

I don't think Imogen Elizabeth is too much of a mouthful. Yes, its long, but they're easy to spell, common and beautiful names. and they flow together well I think.

I don't much like Caspian. I wouldn't say its going too far, I just don't much like it.. what would you kill him for short? caspy?!

If you like James, you should use it.

If the baby I'm carrying right now is a girl, she's totally going to be an Imogen! Also, I think Caspian is adorable. So yeah, good taste!

I adore Caspian! And if you/your son ever thought it was "too weird" or something, he could just go by "Cas(s)."

I really like the name Kate, too. Alas... "Cate" is my fiance's last name, so no dice. :(
