Hello everyone! I'm new to this group and my name is Valerie. I was suppose to be named Ronalda after my father but he didn't like that idea so I became Valerie.

Anyway, I got some names I'd like to name my one day kids. Arragned in order of most desireable from my point of veiw.

Girls:
Genevieve (it was my grandmother's birth name and it's a very pretty, old fashioned type name and I tend to lean towads those)
Geneva (similar to the one above and it's what my grandmother changed her name to when she was older)
Edith
Hannah
Catherine

Boys:
Eric
Alexander
Christopher
Julian
Freddrick

That's all I can really think of for now.

Don't take offence to my comments, because we just have different naming styles, but heres my opinions:

Girls:
Genevieve- This isnt my style, but i do like the nn evie..idk if you would use that?
Geneva - Nms
Edith - Nms, too old fashioned imo
Hannah - i love this!
Catherine - nms, i think its because i have a bad association with someone with this name

Boys:
Eric - Nms, i don't know why i've just never liked it
Alexander- LOVE this, makes a great first or middle name, and love the nn alex.
Christopher - I dont like this, again i have a bad association, but in general its just nms
Julian - This is ok, doesn't really do anything for me
Freddrick - I like this, love the nickname Freddie

I like Genevieve and Geneva a lot. Catherine is nice, but I don't care for the nns. I prefer it used in its full form. Edith doesn't quite appeal to be yet, still a bit of an old lady image for me. Hannah is way, way too common imo.

I like Frederick (this spelling) a lot. Alexander is nice. The other boy names are fine, but I don't really care for them.

All lovely, timeless, original names! And not one Y in sight!!

Good for you. They are all lovely, but I'm partial to Catherine. ;)
