I hate my name with a firey passion. I get "teased" alot about it from adults because of my last name.

My name is Amy.

Everyone, mostly adults, goes "It's Amy! It's the movie star!!"

I bet you can all guess my last name.

It gets really tiresome. I told my parents I was gonna change my name to Kenobi. They didn't find that funny.

However, I did name one of my pets Amie... :)

Edit: My last name is Irving...btw, so no one, for the sake of their santy doesn't play guessing games

amy ... an actress? i can't think of an amy that's famous besides amy smart, but she's not that famous ...

when i hear amy, i think of amy carmichael who was an author and missionary to india.

Amy isn't a bad name at all, anyway. There was a girl who named her daughter DYNASTY in one of the communities I'm in. Think of how lucky you are! ;)

That poor child with that name. The first nickname that came to mind was "Nasty." My name would've been Matilda or Elizabeth. so I guess i'm pretty lucky.

I really like the name Amy. It has a similar sweet vintage sound as popular names like Emily and Emma but these days it isn't nearly as common as it was when I (and probably you) were growing up.

It's on my own long list for girls, as a nn for Amelia.

PS. No idea who Amy Irving is btw.
