Okay, no offence to anyone who likes the name 'Sailor', but what is the deal with this name? Why the sudden popularity? Why name your kid a random naval occupation? I just don't get the appeal, and I'm wondering if anyone can enlighten me here.

Saylor/Sailor Kathryn = I like Sailor (please don't make it Saylor, although it's just how Taylor came from "tailor" :P)and I like Kathryn, but not together, because their styles clash too much. I like Sailor better as a mn, because anything after it makes it sound like a Sailor Moon character.
Peyton Caroline = same here, and even more. I'm also not a fan of Peyton, it feels a lot more of a boys' name.
Robert Finn (nn Finn - Robert is a family name) = this one sounds just fine
Campbell Grace (nn Ella Grace) = not bad at all, plus I'm a big fan of Ella, and I quite like Grace
Mary Elizabeth (nn Mary Liz/ML - Mary is a family name) = Veeeery pretty and chic too. She could go by Mary Elle too.
Hudson O'Rourke = it's strong and masculine, but I'm not sure I like two last names for a name.

The names you don't think you'll be using are all pretty great names actually :) I like Ruby, Lux and Miley the best.
I've always liked Ella Ruby for a girl.

oops i forgot: Emily and Ella.. well, they're not too similar, but the might wind up being Emmy and Elly for 'short' and that would be super-close.
I'd like my kids' names to be more each of their own, honestly.
But you could still use one as fn and the other as a mn :)

Mary E is another cute nickname for Mary Elizabeth.

I wouldn't go with Ella and Emily, but I have a thing about using the name first letter twice.

Sailor Kathryn would look WAY too Sailor Moon-ish for me.

Sailor Katherine.... Sailor Moon, Sailor Mars, Sailor Venus, Sailor Mercury........ Please don't name her Sailor. :(

I like Mary Elizabeth, and Ruby Elizabeth would also be lovely. Ruby is a great name for a girl.

Ella and Emily sounds adorable. After all, people use Jessica and Jennifer. My sister named her girls Allysyne (Alison) and Alexis. My brothers are Alex and Eric. Similar sounding names for siblings is very normal.

Ella and Emma would be great sister names, or twin names, I think.

I know it's come up a few times in this community, but considering my step-family are Campells, I have a hard time seeing it as a first name.
And by any chance, is Lux from 'Virgin Suicides'? Because that's the only other place I've heard it. It's interesting, though :)
