[identity profile] mykissmightkill.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
So I'm thinking I have a thing for one syllable names or something because at the moment, I'm loving two names as such.
Ive posted about the girl's name here before. but anyway.
I used to babysit at a temple during the jewish holidays. I'm not jewish but anyway. Tons and tons of kids came in all with, ya know, mostly the usual names you see around. But one little girl who was clinging to me the whole time, had a name that has stuck with me for a couple years now that I love. Her name was Tess. I'm not sure what middle name I'd like to go with it though. :/ any ideas? Last time I asked I got only one reply about a middle name lol.

As for a boy, I just finished reading abook I really really liked. The one boys name was Jace. which is his nicknamed for his initials of J.C. which are actually initials for Jonathan Christopher.lol But anyways, I just really like the name Jace in general and was wondering what you guys though and maybe a middle name for a Jace too?

Tess and Tessa are pretty names!
Let's see what I can come up as mn's for Tess

Tess Carmen
Tess Layla
Tess Myriam
Tess Caroline
Tess Abigail
Tess Margaret
Tess Lane
Tess Violet
Tess Flaminia
Tess Erica
Tess Annabel

Basically long names flow better, but it would also depend a lot on the last name.

forgot, I like how Jace sounds, but I'd like it as Jayce better, it makes it look more complete, IMO.

I think Tessa is more complete, and leaves you more options for a nn.
You can go to Tess from Tessa, but not so much to Tessa from Tess.

hope this helps a little

Tess is my middle name. It was my grandmother's nickname- her full name was Theresa. I actually adore the name, and used to want it to be my first name, instead. I also adore the name Tessa.

My aunt's name is Tess Tamara; I think it's quite pretty :)

And as for Jace...fabulous name, fabulous character, fabulous book! I can't wait for the next one!

As for middle names, I like the suggestions Jace Allen and Jace Oliver. I think pairing Jace (which is a very modern sounding name) with something more traditional balances very well. Jace Morgan is cute but a bit too "now" for my taste :)
