Okay see about Lucifer. I don't like the name Lucy at all. I don't even like Lucille but it is a tradition (on the "other side" of the family) to name the first girl Lucille. I 've been doing research and Lucifer means "Light bearer." which, I think, sounds positive. Plus, it would get rid of the whole Lucy for a girl. Now, I am not a particularly religious person and I was thinking perhaps we could call him Luis or something. I don't know does that make any since? Perhaps someone has other ideas for a "Lucy" name I haven't thought of yet. I'm desperate!!!

Well, Lucy is one of my favorite names so I'd use that but Lucifer is pretty cool. Luis is too. What about Lucia prn. Loo-see-uh? I guess that's not much different than Lucy though, lol.

Dude, I have a really good friend who's name is Lucy and her birth name is Lucy, thats it.
If Lucy is too plain, get a spicy middle name! :P

or maybe you like double names? lucy-ann, lucy-jane, lucy-lee...

or name her lucy / lucille with a nice second name, and just call her by the second name. when she's older she can chose herself which name she wants to be called...
