Okay, what are your thoughts on this. My sister and I both adore the name Gwyn/Gwen, but I like Gwyneth and she likes Gwendaline. Could we have a baby Gwyn and a baby Gwen? There are several years between my sister and I so they shouldn't be too close in age. She's older and already married, so alas, she may get to it first. Let's hope she has 5 boys first... :-)

I'm not sure how you'd pronounce them in the US, but I know that in the UK we'd pronounce them both differently, so that'd be fine.
Gwyn = gWIN i.e. rhymes with twin
Gwen = gwN i.e. rhymes with ten and when.
Plus their full names would be different, so I see no problem in it!

I wouldn't see why not, other than it being confusing for the rest of your family. But there are so many Williams/Billys in my family that it's not even funny. So yea, go ahead!

Sure you can, no problem.
My cousin's name is Karen and she has a cousin on her mother's side of the family whose name is Karen too. They are even the same age and no one has ever made a big deal out of it.

You could, though it might annoy the kids later in life :P

My aunty asked my mum not to name her son Sam if he was born first, because they wanted to use it (both were pregnant at the time) but my parents didn't like Sam, so it was ok. They named their son Tom and my aunty had a girl.

I guess this has little point... just that maybe one of you will change your mind, heh.
