Names?

Is anyone else a fan of more 'traditional' names? I'm really not a fan of trendy or unique names, but I know lots of people hate traditional names, so fair's fair. :P

Anywho, here are some names that I would actually consider for kids, if I ever had any:

Boys
Ryan
Adam
Matthew
Justin
Andrew
Dominic
James
Michael
Evan

Girls
Norah (my favourite)
Margaret
Caroline
Natasha
Tessa
Marie
Maybe Josephine, but I wouldn't want people to call her 'Jo' or 'Josie'.

I like traditional names moreso than any other kind of names.

I loves the name Natasha.

In addition to totally unique names I love old traditional names that are not over used in the current generation. I squeed in delight when my baby brother told me that they had named their son Darien James. There will not be 20 other Dariens in his grade. It has charm to it.

I grew up with a unique name that is now fairly popular. I hated it growing up and I hate that it is now popular. I can not win.

I love traditional names like the ones on your list, and not just because my name is Josephine, lol. :)
And being called Jo or Josie really sucks. 8D

8D. I hate when people just shorten your name for the sake of not having to pronounce a few extra syllables. I find its always worse when its someone you don't particularly like that's shortening your name.

No kidding. I get "Debby" all the time, and I really don't like it. I can live with Deb, but I can't believe how many people don't even ask what I go by. I say "My name is Deborah" and they say "Hi Debby." Um, hello? What did I just say my name was?!
/end rant

Lol, my aunt is the ecaxt same way. She's okay with Deb, but Debby/Debbie drives her up the wall.

Mine is two syllables and people still shorten it to one! My god people are lazy XD I don't mind though, as long as they're my friends. If a stranger calls me "Moll," though, ugh.

Likewise. I only accept being called "Kels" by close friends/family/my fiance. Just as he only appreciates "Mal" (instead of "Malachi") coming from those who are close to him.

I have to say I'm a little in the middle about traditional names. I like making up names and do so a lot. But I really like traditional names as well. Mostly I like older names that aren't over-popular like so many are right now.

I like some from every, uh, genre? of names, but I don't tend to like the trendier names either. I like the hippie names and traditional names best.

I really like Matthew, James, Caroline, Tessa and Josephine :) Lily is on my short list for a girl and I've thought about Caroline or Josephine for a middle name (Gabrielle is the other contender.)

I really like Norah for a girl.
Tessa is cute, too.
Out of the traditional names, Dominic is my favorite. I wanted to name my future son that, at one point.

I love traditional names. for a long time I was one of "those" that kinda spelled things weird (like Kelleigh Anne) but now not so much. I love the name Norah, but I have a relative with the name so that's a no go for me :(

Caroline is at the tippy top of my favorite name list for girls (along with Harper and Lydia), but my sisters and I (there are 4 of us) are all Ks or Cs, my mother's name starts with a K, and I have 4 other relatives (3 cousins and an uncle) with Ks and Cs....so the fam wants me to stay away from C/K names...booo

I like the names and I'm pretty much for traditional names.
For unique names I'd use the middle name, if I pick one that is and so far I'm still far away from having kids.

I like Adam, Evan and Natasha :D

I'm a fan of traditional for boys' names... I would use all except one of all of the boys' names you listed... I'm not as into tradtional when it comes to girls' names, except for middle names...

I LOVE Ryan, Justin, and James. :)
