Hey! I just found this community on the spotlight :)

My name is Anna May-- both words. I used to love my name until I started getting asked if I was named after Japanese animation (anime). I started going by my nickname, Mazie, when I came to college, which I also love. I do miss going by Anna May, though, I still think it's a really beautiful name. I'm also Catholic, so my Confirmation name is Anna May Cecilia.

I want to incorporate my siblings' names in all my children's names eventually, so far I have the names:

Melisande Grace
Emily Joy
Matthew Thomas

Emily Joy would go by both names, like I do with Anna May. :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves names and thinks about her future children! haha

I'm interested in this Melisande name. My name is Melissa Rae. I've never seen any other variations of Melissa (other than Alyssa or Marisa and the like)

melisande is one of my favorite names-- i actually got it from a musical called 110 in the shade, there's a song called "melisande," where a man tries to give the main character, lizzie, a more beautiful name. i fell in love with it! it's also in the musical bells are ringing, a woman names herself melisande scott to hide her identity from a man.

anyway-- pointless musical theatre information-- those are the only times i've ever heard the name melisande, but i absolutely fell in love with it.
