middle names

am i the only one here who doen't have or doesn't think middle names are important? even if i had a middle name it would have just been my mom's maiden name nothing fancy or matching or anything. my name:emma lang is nice and short and i cant tell you how nice that was when doing all those sat like tests!

I don't have a middle name and neigher to any of my siblings... Both my mom and dad took each other's last names and joined them with a hyphen for a really, really long family surname. I defo don't miss having a middle name at all. And, since I plan on dropping my Dad's portion of the surname when I marry and adding my future husband's last name to my last name with a hyphen, I'm not going to give my kid's middle names either... unless my husband's family has a traditional middle name handed down over the generations...
