I am actually rather fond of Northern names: Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Lapland and a few simple generic names. I myself am Lithuanian, which is also pretty up there, and I like their names as well.

Girls: Asta
Tuve (after Tuve Jansson, one of my favorite writers)
Marit (or Marite, Marita)
Astrid
Sky

Boys: Tim
Bjorn
Eric
Roan (or Ron)

Astrid is especially pretty, and not overused. :) And good, classic Eric is a great boys name, I think.

I'm half Swedish but the Swedish names stopped at my grandmother. Her name is Maj-Britt. Well, I should say was. She passed away last year. When she came to America she started calling herself May. My great grandmother whom I've never met is named Thyra. She lived in Sweden/did not speak English. My Grandmother's best friend is Kjestin. She stayed in Sweden but her and my grandmother remained best friends. She used to send me presents and books in Swedish. My Grandmother tried to teach me Swedish but all I remember are please, thank you, and counting 1-20 LOL.
My mother's side of the family is Italian. I'm 50-50 Italian/Swedish so there are some interesting names on both sides of the family, but they all stop at my parent's generation!

it's spelled Tove (at least here in Finland, where Tove Jansson comes from), but pronounced "tuve" :)
