I would name my daughter Layla Raine
(Raine being the middle name. Layla could also be spelt Laila)

What do you guys think?

I also really like the name Pacey for a boy... by than Dawson's creek will be done and over with lol.

Layla was our girl choice, so I love it. I've never been a fain or Raine/Rain/Rayn/Rayne as any part of a name but it does have a ring with Layla.

My Husband had said no to Pacey but yes to Dawson because of his Grandfather. But we ended up with Nicholas. :D

Layla is one of my picks for a girl but I am not going to use it after seeing how freakin popular it is!

My friends are going to name their daughter Alayla Rain.

I like Layla Raine. Unfortunately Layla is really getting up there in popularity.

I don't really like Pacey.

I really don't like the name Layla. To me, it sounds like the name of a foreign prostitute. Plus it's uber trendy. And it's SO adult sounding, so for 18 years this baby is going to have this really elegent flowy name, and she'll probably be a tom-boy hellion or something. I think it's important to have a name that can apply to any aspect of a person's personality, so that when the person grows up, it can feel connected with its name.

So, how would one predict whether or not the child will be girly-prissy or a tomboy? I'm just curious.

You can't, obviously, predict, although if you're that type of evil, you can try to push one way or the other on a child. But you can help by not naming a girl something that doesn't atleast have a nickname that she might like, if she doens't turn out to be the "Layla" type. Like girls named Samantha can be Sam, or Madeline can be Maddy, Sofia can be Sof, Layla can't be Lay? Its just one of those names I think leaves a child no room to be herself.

I like Layla! (duh, I'm an Eric Clapton fan) It rolls nicely off the tongue.

I loved Dawson's Creek too...and I loved Pacey, so I'm all for it, although I don't know if I could name my son that name...and I don't hink my bf would go for it anyway, so there's no use hoping!

I like the name Layla but preferrably spelled Laila, after Laila Ali.

Layla Raine sounds great. Don't like Pacey though.

really like layla raine. it's pretty. i'm not much for the unique off the wall names that people are coming up with now. but i like that one. i'm more into classic names. i named my son alexander james jones cuz i just couldn't bring myself to name him something like aidan and have 7 of them in his kindergarden class. at this rate he'll be the only alex

I think Pacey will always be associated with Dawson's creek as most people had never heard of the name until that show. Boys names are so hard! =/
