*waves* Newbie, Here!
May. 2nd, 2007 09:54 amCame via the LJ Spotlight. Like many others that have posted here, I'm no where near close to having kids yet, but names have always been a fascination with me. Usually, I get inspiration from characters in books or TV, but some of these I've always liked. I was named after a song by a British 60's band called The Hollies. I was named for their 1967 hit Carrie Anne, but my Mum wanted to change the spelling so it ended up as being Karianne. I have yet to see anyone else have the same spelling, so I guess I'm unique. :P
Anyway, on to my names:
Unisex
Jamie (I've always wanted to use this for a girl, but for a boy is good too)
Jay (Same reason as above)
Jordan
Girls
Rai (I saw this in a book as a shortened version of Rachel, but I'm not too keen on Rachel, so I chose the shortened version)
Morgan
Rashel
Kimberly
Calleigh
Boys
Jason (Blame Power Rangers for this *rolls eyes* Sad, I know)
Zachary/Zachery
Darcy
Danny (Not Daniel, just Danny)
Hunter (Book again. Actually, a British character in an American Based book.)
Ash
Quinn
Aaaaand that's all I can think off at the moment. This comm is quite handy for me, because I'm a writer, and I need a good list of names to pick for characters. :D

Date: 2007-05-02 06:36 pm (UTC)I don't like unisex names as a rule, but I do love Jamie for a boy. Only as a nickname for James, though. Jamie wouldn't seem right on an old man.
The only girls' name on your list that I like is Kimberly. I like Morgan for a boy, but again with the unisex thing.
I like most of your boys' names.
