heyy yall. im new here but i think i get the gist of it.  i dont have any kids. im still pretty young for that in my opinion.  but i did decide that im giving my children several middle names because i never understood why people dont get to pick their own names.  if not when their born then certainly eventually.   if a person has to live with their name for the next 80 years or so, dont you think they should get to pick it.  i like my name so im not complaining but i dont want my child to resent me for naming them something that they arent comfortable with. but if i have to name them legally then i'll give them a variety of names when they are born.  that way, when the get older, if they decide that they want to go by a different name then they can just pick from one of their middle names or a nick name of one of their middle names. see! options galore.   so here are the names that ive come up with so far. one boy one girl.  yes i know that the girl's name is shorter but its unfinished mind you.  o yeah. one more thing.  i like to expirement with spellings so if you think its misspelled, its not.

Vaughn Finnigan Christian Mallechi Leo Parker Mercutio Serge Victor Didier Giovanni
^didier is pronounced [dee - dee - ay].  its french.

im not specifically asking for any comments but im not gunna stop anyone from offering them.  wow. i just read the paragraph that i wrote above and it sounded really snippy. sorry. i didnt mean for it to sound snippy.

You hate your future children, don't you? I'm gonna guess they won't be royalty, so why the hundred names?

Um. Wow. I do hope you never breed.

My cousin has two middle names. And want to know something? He hates his parents for doing that to him.

They could always legally change their name later if they don't like what you picked.

If you are worried about them wanting to change their name later, I think it would be easier to have just a couple names and if they dont like them they can just use a nickname (or legally change it). With that many names I can picture lots of people wanting to change their name, to make it more simple (I personally wouldn't mind, but lots of people may)

I do like the style of names you picked out!

Im not trying to sound critical either! Im all for naming your kids what you wish, I just don't think that many names will make things easier in the future, if thats your worry.

I like the names, if there were less of them.

Random-
Can anyone picture them signing their middle name on some legal document. ahaha. DO IT for shear entertainment!

You came across very snobby in this post. Plus, I think it will be very hard to find a man who's going to accept all of your names, the way that you want to spell them, in the order that you want them, whatever. What if he wants to name his child Jonathon Christopher and is as stubborn as you?

Ever heard the phrase, "cruel and unusual punishment"?? What you're attempting is, in fact, unconstitutional.

hahaha if your goal is to avoid resentment from you children you are horribly astray. half of the names don't even make sense together.

My friend and i wanted to change our names in middle school. We were Rachel Diana and Jessica Diana... and we became...
Rachel Mariay (Ma-ray) Chasity Abigail Heidi Noelle Diana. It was going to be Heidi Claire Diana, but Heidi Claire sounds lie "I declare!"
Jessica Hailey Callie Christine Tessa Rei (Ray) Diana

I think giving a child that many names is ridiculous, although it will be so amusing for them whenever they have to fill out any legal document. I'm sure in those moments they will think of you with joy and kindness

My parents gave me three middle names and I hated it. All of the names could not even fit on my birth certificate. I ran into identity trouble because my parents would use my different middle initials on various documents. They gave me all these names because they wanted to honor both of my grandmothers and my aunt by giving me their names. It was just a bad idea. When I got married, I took the opportunity to legally correct my name.

I played London Symphony last year, and Romeo and Juliet, actually. It was quite bad ass.

Right now, we are putting the finishing touches on Shosty five, the finale.

And Dvorak Cello Concerto, Dvorak Serenade for Strings, and Bach Suite for Strings, I think its number 2, we've rehearsed it twice... and Mozart Clarinet Concerto

Even if you gave your kid 23894723 names, you'd have to pick one to call him, right? So for the first many years of his life, you'd have chosen his name for him. It's unlikely (though possible, of course) that he would ever go on to "select" one of his other names to officially go by. Kids tend to keep the name their parents give them. So you might call him Vaughn, but it's highly unlikely that when he's 16, he's gonna up and insist on being called Mercutio.
