So... another new person due to the LJ spotlight. Damn, that thing works, huh?

Anyhow, I don't really like children, and probably don't want to ever have them but I have always been quite fond of names, and hey, ya never know. I really like traditional british or biblical names in general, but I guess they mightn't all fit into that category. I think that most names I like tend to be associated with characters that I have seen/read about.

Favorites:

Male:
Dorian - (ever since I read The Portrait of Dorian Gray.)
Julian - (I first got this one from the Famous Five, LOL)
Sebastian - (No idea where I got that one)
Ezra - (Ezra Pound!)
Jack (I love this name, but it feels too nicknamey for me - but I hate John and Jackson. Oh well)
James - (I really hate Jimmy though)
Dermot - (It's my dad's name, so it should get a mention ;))
William - (Nearly everyone on the X-Files is named William)

Female:
Lily - (Heh... Harry Potter)
Ella - (From my own mind! It's too close to my own name though - Emma)
Charlotte - (Charlotte Bronte! ... and Charlotte's Web)
Olivia - (No association)

Exactly why it is my top name... and my second favorite is Samantha. Go figure. But far be it from me to name my child Fox. Or Bambi. Or Ringo. Or Melvin.

Randomly, we have the exact same taste in boys name (give or take a few). But I love that someone else thinks Dorian is lovely. For sure my favourite boy's name!

im having a james william and if someone so much as hints theyll call him jimmy i'll die.

i also am having an ella :) and every single girl name for sure.
and just for the record... sebastian is one of my fav names on the planet though i dont think i could name my son that.

but i also love daniel and heidi.

my mom let me name my little sister when i was 6.
and i named her olivia.
because i had a best friend who picked her nose and her name was olivia.
so i named my sister after her.
anyways.
now.
my sister is 12 and she hates her name.
and my mom hates the name olivia too.
so they call her livie.
bahhh. that's not what i named her, dammit!

haha.
thats what my mom gets for letting a 6 year old name a child.
