Hmm, a real boy named Holden... Makes me think of Catcher in the Rye, like they're setting their son up to have problems or something, you know? It's not a bad name by itself but the association with the crazy man throws it off.

As for the names you actually meant to post about, I really like Hayden and Caleb, and Aurora nn Rory and Cadence nn Cady, those are adorable.

And I think you could still name a son Hayden, esp. if they're not very close in age. They're similar names, but it's not like Audrey and Aubrey or something THAT close.

Wow, I love almost all of the names on your list! My personal favorites from your list (also on my list) are:

Aurora
Cadence
Bailey

I've thought of using Carter James for a boy (James after my fiance), but I'm not sure if it sounds well with his last name (starts with R... creating double R sounds if you leave out the middle name). I'm also not sure if I really love the idea of having a name that can be abbreviated with initals (CJ). What do you think?

*sigh* Another city turned name. I hate this trend and wish it would go away. I've lived in Providence, trust me, it's no place you want to name your kid after. Carter and Keagan are nice, just not together, to me it's a bit much. I love Caleb! Aurora is a favorite but my husband can't say it so it's just not an option :P

while i understand where you're coming from, it's actually not after the city....providence means "a manifestation of divine care or direction"...caleb is probably one of my favorites too,right after carter...and i love aurora...i decided when i saw sleeping beauty for the first time that that was what i would name my daughter if i ever had one,i think it's a really pretty name.

haha,yea,i know what you mean about holden...people always ask if it's after catcher in the rye...the funny thing is it actually is, not because they have a thing for crazy people or anything, but it's their favorite book and one of the reasons they started talking to each other.

yea,i guess hayden and holden aren't too similar...maybe i could still name a son that,because i do really love that name.
