Hellooo I'm new :)
my name is Saskia Mackenzie Fransz (Suh-ski-uh). Saskia is a very old Dutch name, Mackenzie is my Mum's surname, Fransz is (obviously) my surname. My parents are Dutch/Australian.
My brother's name is Sebastian, but Dad calls him Bastiaan, which is the Dutch variation. My dad's name is Jan-Maarten (Jan said like Yunn) but he goes by just Maarten, and the rest of my family have mostly Dutch names, or English names pronounced in the Dutch way.
I LOVE my name. It totally encompasses who I am.
my partner, Danny, is Mexican-American, and we've pretty much agreed to have both Mexican and Dutch-influenced names for our kids.
For girls we like:
Mina (my favourite)
Sofie
Celia (after his Mum)
Tineke/Anneke (teen-eh-keh, Un-eh-keh)
Adriana

For boys we like:
Gabriel
Andres (like his Dad)
Arie

And I like Hendrik (I have an uncle called Hendrik-Jan) but I don't think Danny would go for that one XD

i love anneke on a girl. i met a little girl named anneke once, it's such a pretty name. i think they had dutch roots as well. she had a brother and a sister named ben and hannah.

I've in Holland and I speak Dutch but grew up in Canada so it's always a nice surprise to see other people have an appreciation for those names, haha :) I like the names Anouk and Miljuschka (not traditionally so Dutch, I don't think, it's the name of a popular VJ on a music channel there) as well.
