I've always really liked the name Max, but a lot of people I know think it sounds too much like something you'd call your dog. What do you guys think?

Just Max. I like other names to, Maximillian, Maximus, Maxwell... but I'm just talking about Max here. Max as in Mad Max. Max is a name in itself, after all.

I care for a little boy whose name is Max (just plain Max), and he's completely great. Go with the name you like!! Max is cute and unusual!

I know a kid whose middle name is Maxamilliano and he goes by Max even though he could go by his first name. It's a cute name, because it fits him, but I wouldn't make it the first name, just in case Max didn't fit the baby.

Sadie is one of my favorite girl names and I've gotten "that's a dog's name" comments before. I hate when people say that. So what if they know a dog with a human name? It's not like you're naming your kid Rover or Spot. And when they meet your baby, they aren't going to get confused and tell him to "roll-over" or something.

I think Max is a fine name.

I wanted to name my son Maxim,but my husband suggested Maximus,so that's what we are going to do.Max as a short form.I love,love,LOVE this name.
