compromising

well my fiancé knows about my obsession with names :) and we were talking about how we both wanted a Boy first whenever we start trying... and out of the blue he says, "i want to name him Scott." immediately i was like no its too common...so i suggested to use it as a middle name... he looked kinda down and said ok. Then once we got home i thought about it. this is the onlly time he's ever mentioned liking a name to me, why should i put it down. So finally I said... We could use it as a first name as long as he has a really cool middle name... and then he said how about Xander. I love it...
Scott Xander Kraatz will be our first little boy..
what do you think?

Great name :)
Actually I don't think it is terribly common, or at least it wouldn't be among his peers.

There will be far fewer Scotts among his age group then Xanders. He'll stand out more with a name like Scott. It's nice, I really like it!

scott isn't that common... i've only known one my whole life =)

i like Xander, i think it's adorable!

It's cute. I don't think Scott is too popular, it's just 'known', which is not a bad thing at all.

I think Scott was pretty common in the 60's... I know several, and they're all around 35 - 45 now, including my son's father [whose first name, bless his heart, is Gordon].

I kinda like Xander Scott Kraatz better, but I also prefer calling the child by his or her first name. But, dang, X. Scott Kraatz looks pretty cool. ;-)
