I'd like to know what you think about these names.

Iaian
Iasiah
Aiden

Thanks!

I'm not sure how to say Iaian. Is this pronounced the same as Ian or some other way? (If it's the same as Iaian, it seems a bit redundant to have all the extra letters in there. I would rather see Ian or maybe Iain).

I'm not sure how to say Iasiah.

I like Aiden, but it's becoming very popular. It's a great name, but if the popularity bothers you, you might consider something different.

is the first name supposed to be a bastardized form of Ian? for shame.

Iasiah is either an Isaiah typo or you like playing Scrabble.

and Aiden is a very popular, VERY POPULAR X 100, name right now, but It's the lesser of the three evils.

That's honestly what I think.

is the first one like Ian? if so he's going to have to constantly be telling people how to spell/pronounce it.

and the second one... do you say it like Isaiah (I love that name!)? if so he'd have the same problems as above

Aiden is nice but it is popular :)

Much prefer Ian, Isaiah, and Aidan. Of the three, Ian is the only one I really like though.

I like the names, especially Ian, but I *really* despise this trend of sticking in 4 billion vowels in a name to try to make it look 'unique' or 'original'. It doesn't make it look any of those things, just makes the parents look dyslexic and gives the kid an added burden of having to instruct everyone the rest of their life on how to spell/say their name.

Aeddan is the form I most prefer.

Sorry, not my style and Aiden is waaaay too popular. But I agree, it's better than the first two. Names that end in "aiden"/"aden" are huge right now. Please give the world some variety. ;)

Isaiah

The others sound weak. I just think children should have strong names they can grown into. Iaian? No no no.. the over spelled name is difficult to read, write and pronounce.

I think the best thing you can do, is go out an introduce yourself as the name you are considering, see how people react.

I love Isaiah (not Iasiah) and Aiden.

well, there's always Ion (Ion and Atom would be cute sibling names, right? lol)

Aiden could also be Aden.

Why do you want to find a different spelling? Most of the time you will be saying the name, not writing it, does it really matter how it is spelled?

Aiden/Aidan is becoming far too common (it's my nephew's name-- spelled with -an ending)
I love Isaiah

Iaian has too many repeated vowels.

Iasiah looks like "isaias" misspelled.

Aiden is way too common.

common spellings are a good thing. "original" ones tend to make the parents look uneducated.

oops, and there I go... Isaiah, I meant, although the way I wrote it I think is the original form.

Iaian would be very confusing because you spell two of the syllables the same way ('ia') but would want people to pronounce them differently. Iain is better, and regular IAN even better. I think that spelling a name differently on purpose leads more to confusion than to uniqueness. If the name is still said the same way, then it really isn't anymore unique than Ian or Aiden, just harder to spell for everyone.

Aiden is a darling name - I also like the spelling Aidan - but as has been pointed out, is hugely popular.

Someone suggested "Ion" instead of Ian, but that would be pronounced "on" at the end, not "ehn" like Ian. Plus it's the name of a car, plus it's the name of a physical element - it sounds like a character in a video game.

i agree on the spelling thing. i have met girls with names like Jessica & their parents spelled it Jessikah. it doesn't make them any more original, it just makes them have to repeat their names & the spellings a bunch of times when they're in school, opening a bank account, getting a driver's lisence, etc.

It really doesn't. It just ends up looking like the parents were under the influence of heavy drugs and alcohol when they named the kid.

i really have to agree. in the end, its more trouble for the kid, having to always tell everyone how to spell it.

examples:

Tayna (pronounced Tanya)- this girl got so much sh*t for this in high school, people would say it wrong or assume it was a typo and she would have to correct them

Krystl (Crystal, Krystal) - I was her best friend for 3+ years, and it took me at least 2 to learn how to spell it

Whenever I see a "unique" or "creative" speeling I think of my poor nephew (my sister was 17 when she had him) and his name is Jestyn. Like JESS-tin. Don't you dare say Justin or she'll hurt you. And the poor kid has to crrect people the rest of his life. I think I tend to see more younger parents choosing these alternative spellings, maybe because they don't think about the kid's future difficulties...

That's stupid. No one's going to know that Khaightelynne's name is spelt that way when her mom calls her name and 01392840923 other little girls turn around. It's not original, it's not cute.
