I am just wondering, when it comes to putting two last names on a child's name, where does the mother's maiden name go, in the middle or after the father' name.

Since I know my cousin has her mom's madien name after her father's name and so does my dad. I was typing a memo for typing about some lady wanting to clear up her child's name which was Keith Matthews Anderson. The maiden name is Matthews so I'm confused here.

Also I made up some names: Franciana, Leoadria, Leoadrio, Francian. FYI: I combined my name (Adriana) and Francisco and Leo (2 guys I kinda have crushes on *blushes and smiles*

I would say maiden name first.

I've seen it be done two differnt ways. *Madien-Father* and *Father-Maiden* I guess you do it whichever way sounds better, because some last names sound better with a certain one first/second.

*shrugs* I'm not too keen on made up nameds, but I kinda like Franciana.

I know in some latin cultures, the mother's maiden name goes last. In America, we tend to hyphenate the last names, and put the mother's maiden name first.

So, Arturo Renaldo Ramirez(father's) Garza(mother's)
or

Arturo Renaldo Garza-Ramirez

Either way it's plenty acceptable. :) Ask the dad, too! Sometimes dad's like their own surnames to be passed on as the "family name".

That's the way I've heard it going too, you explained it very well. :)

I am Puerto Rican , and you are absolutely correct. Hispanic cultures put the mother's name after the father's, always. and its also mandatory to use both.

oh my christ
