Bonjour all! ;) I joined this community previously (dazzledkarma) - and pop by on a regular basis for name ideas ;) Earlier this week I found out I'm definatly having a girl. I'm super stoked - and 27 weeks along exactly today. So given the fact that my boyfriend and I are not married, and I have reluctantly agreed to give our baby girl his last name, I get the pleasure of choosing the first. I have narrowed it down to two choices (first & last names) --

1. Karma _____ Massie

2. Kailani ____ Massie

Any advise on which of the two you prefer? I also would love some advise on a middle name for both..I love Karma Lilly Massie, but definatly open to more choices. We just rented our first place, and I'm way to anxious to begin painting a few pictures to hang in her room with her name on it. By the way... Karma means fate, and Kailani means Sea & Sky. (I'm a gemini, and the father is an aquarius. Air & water signs.)

I think Kailani is beautiful!! Lily is pretty cute with it as a middle name. Here are some other ideas...

I looove Kailani. There are so many cute shortenings of that name, I definitely like that choice. Kailani Sage is pretty I think, it sounds very exotic. Or if you like something more classical I think Kailani Rose is gorgeous.

Me too ;) (well i love both - hence the difficulty deciding..:D) If we choose Kailani, Kai or Lani would be her nicknames - though I prefer Kai. The only hesitation I have with this is my family is from New Zealand, and when they pronounce Kailani - it sounds awfully close to Colonic [For instance, my Aunt says Colani), not a very appealing pronuncation. ;)

I'm definetly not keen on Karma. It just brings up the phrase 'bad karma' to me & thats not nice for your little girl because im sure she's going to be lovely!

As a kind of variation on Kailani, I like Leilani (layee lawn ee) it's Hawaiian for "garlands from heaven"
