My opinion of a name can normally be swayed if I meet a child with the name. I think it's just cause I love children (and there's nothing they can do to make me hate them, its not like an adult who can be an asshole and ruin the name) and so somehow even if they have a name I consider to be disgusting I can end up loving/liking/not hating it. I wouldn't suddenly stop hating the name when the child grew into an adult. I would have a positive association with the name so, yeah I think its a fine name for an adult. Now I will think of the socialite couple though, with these names in particular, and Im judgemental so I picture snobby rich people so it doesn't help with my liking the names.

I wonder why you feel the need to mention that you are a married socialite couple in NYC. Do you think that the names that you've chosen are "socialite" type of names or that the names that you choose have to fit into your social standing some how?

No - Most people on the board write where they heard the names when listing random groupings, so i listed who those people are and why I had heard the names.

Regarding the 'social standing' question - yes and no to that - many of the decisions you make in life are based on who and what is around you - so yes, i would say some of my names are based on my surroundings, how i have grown up etc. My two favorite names today are Ella and Finn - but are they necessarily a commentary on my 'social standing' - not so much...
