Makes me think of Puff the Magic Dragon. I assume that's not what you were going for?

How on earth do you pronounce that?

Is it like ' honour ' ?

A gross misspelling of honour.

Are you serious? It is ridiculous. I don't like (most) words used as names, but I hate it when people spell them wrongly.

I appreciate the concept of tucking little references inside your names, but it may be worthwhile to consider the context in which the names appear.

Which would you rather overhear your adult child saying?

"My name? Yes, you're absolutely correct, it does come from [culturally or literarily significant work]. My mother's very well read. She says she was so captivated by the noble character of [character name] and the way that [character] fought for justice for the downtrodden that she gave me that selfsame name! I admit that I thought my name was a little odd when I small, but now that I've read the book, I really get it. S/he's quite a namesake!"

or

"Yeah, unfortunately it *is* a reference to that old children's song. My mom's a little 'different'. Can you please, please not tell the guys at work? I've had a hard enough time getting them to take me seriously, and if they knew what you found out, I would never heard the end of it."
