A friend of a friend had a baby girl on Monday...
The name?

Haven Josie Ray Michelle C*

Apparently those were all names the mom just happened to like...no special meanings behind any of them and she couldn't narrow it down to just a first and middle name...Oh and they're calling the baby Haven-Ray.

I'm just pretty much speechless...

Haven isn't all THAT bad.
Haven-Ray sounds horrible and hicky.
Josie looks like it doesn't fit in there at all and I dislike Michelle immensely.

What's up with the nn being longer than the first name? Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose? Just weird, IMO.

Do they know what 'haven' means?

That name is yucky. I've thought of using three names because all three are important to us, but 4 blah names with no special meaning? Hrm. I might be a tad biased since I realllly dislike Haven, Ray, and Michelle.

We gave our daughter the first name 'Brenna Rose' with the mn 'Sherman' after my recently, at the time, deceased childhood cat. Yah, I was on a lot of morphine. :D

Wow. What happens when she gets married and tacks a married name on there as well.

None of my female cousins (all from the same immediate family) have middle names because their last name had three syllables and the dad didn't want their names to be too long once they got married. I thought that was nice of him.
