You are so much smarter than I am. Rather than lookig at the "Top 1000" thing, I kept thinking of names I liked and checking to see if they were on the top 500. I need Starbucks.
Mine were pretty easy, because Annelise and Maren are both already my top 2 girls' names, and Juliet is very close to Julianna, which is on my list, too. Beth and Delia I just love, but never had on my list and I might have to add them. :)
Annelise (Annie) Maren Juliet Beth Delia
Because it was so easy, I decided to try and do boys' names, too, because I suck at coming up with boys' names that aren't in, like, the top 25. So this was harder.
oh my god. i am so glad you said something. i never would have known that otherwise. well let me change the names i like because someone thinks that i am going to mess up society for years to come.
smith and elliot have been names i have loved for a girl sincei found out my friends sister named her kids that.
and jensen is a personal family reason.
no, i do not think your son jensen will get hazed because they have the same name as a little girl. I have known many a kelly and shannon (who are boys) who have made it through life just fine. Plus, i think that because of people like Courtney B. Vance, and Jensen Ackles, these precious little boys will make it.
so i will name my imaginary quints whatever i please, and risk destroying all of mankind for the rest of history.
I agtee. someone is always going to tell you that you are wrong. i am one of those who think that many names can go either way. i mean most "classic" female names are some how derived from a mans name anyway. michael and michelle, nicholas and nichole.
eh... i am blabbering. thanks for seeing my point of view.
I like your names. My only concern would be that 4 of them seem like last names. Nothing wrong with that, might just seem weird for all your kids to have lastnameish first names. :)
Okay, I indulged myself with a few names I love, but will probably never use. Unless I happen to have quintuplets; then I promise I'll use them. A few are from fantasy novels. :)
Esmerelda Olivia Eulalia Etoile (accents on both e's of Etoile) Antalya Opal Meiglan Rene Gemma Grey
umm.. Spanky Tidbits oh wait, I already have 5. oh well.
Oopps! I knew Olivia was in the top 500, number 5! All the rest are not even in the top 1000. Rene is for a boy, but not for girls.. lol cause it's a boys' name. :P
lol. i know what you mean. two of jensen and smith are REALLY last namey, and jensen is my maiden name. that Jensen Anne will be my daughters name, as i was the last chance to pass the family name on, but alas, i was a girl. So i thought i would name my daughter jensen. So that one is a family/personal reason. the rest are really just guilty pleasures, that i am not sure i would actually name a kid. but i think smith and jensen are the names i will most likely use.
