My boyfriend's family does....

He is Anthony Mark Jesus Coppola Nunez. Anthony is one of his grandfathers. And his mother is Antonia.

His brother is Louis Enrique Nunez. Louis is the other grandfather. Enrique is their father.

Louis has a baby on the way...his name will be Anthony Louis Nunez.

And if we ever have a boy, he'll be Louis Isaac Nunez.

My middle name is Marie, which is my mom's middle name, and her mom's first name. My aunt from my dad's side also has that middle name, though that example has no stance on why my middle name's Marie.

funny you answered my post the way you did--because i have Coppolas in my family too. Most likely there is no relation, but here it is just in case.

My grandpa's name is Andrew. My uncle's name is Andrew and my mom's name is Andrea.

My brother's middle name is Morrison, which is his grandfather's name. My other brother's name is Michael and his dad's name is Michael.

My grandmother's name was Ann (short for Anastasia) and I know one of my aunts has that as her middle name.

On my mom's side, Kathryn and Marie are both traditionally used. Kathryn is given to the second born daughter to a Kathryn. For instance, my grandmother is the second born daughter, and her name is Kathryn Marie, she named my mother Kathryn(also second born daughter) Louis, and then my mother named me Kathryn Denise and I'm the youngest of three children. My sister's middle name is Marie and my cousin's first name is Marie as well. My grandfather also has had his name passed down to my uncle and my cousin, Johnson Watson.

My brother is Joseph. My dad is Thomas Joseph. My grandpa was Joseph. His dad was Joseph and my grandma's parents were Joseph and Josephine. My dad's brother is Kenneth Joseph and so is his son (my cousin) and HE named HIS son Joseph. Uhh... yep. :)

My middle name is Catherine, my mother's name is Catherine Elizabeth and her grandmothers were Catherine and Elizabeth. My mother's sister's name is Margaret Mary, as was their mother's. My brother I Darrell Maurice Brown Jr. and my husband is Albert Edward Hand III. Our daughter's name was Brenna Rose and we later learned his maternal great-grandmother was named Rose. We want to continue the custom of naming after women in the family and thought of using 'Edith Catrine' as a mirror of my name-- Meredith Catherine. We're also thinking of Eliza or Elizabeth, I've always like Eliza, but am lately thinking using it as a nn for Elizabeth would be better. /
