My name is Samantha Anita Maria Borden (Soon to be Samantha Anita Maria Sink!)

When I was small, and even today when my mother wants my attention she calls me "Samantha Jane!" This has no meaning whatsoever, it does grab my attention now, and back then when I was a kid it apparently worked well.

Does anybody else have a strange name like this that people use but it really makes no sense?

Zoe(pronounced ZOE-EEE) Nicole (4yr.),
Damian(Dee) Alexander (3yr.),
and Anna Maria Mary (14mo.)

I like Zoe, Damian, Alexander, and Anna. However, isn't Anna Maria Mary a bit repetitive? Maria and Mary are pretty much the same name, in my opinion.

My mom always called me Shorty, even though I'm not anywhere near, and Sugar Booger Butt- don't ask, b/c I have no clue why.

I always call people *first name* Louise for some reason :/

My name is Catherine, and my family calls me Caddy. I get called "Cathy Lee" and "Catherina" and "Elizabeth" sometimes too (Elizabeth is my aunt's name, and we are close in age and look a lot alike.)

My husband's entire extended family calls him "Paco." They're a French/Cajun family and his name is Brandon....I don't get it. My husband has no idea where it came from, either. ;)

Ha, my mum randomly used to call me Mealie May when I was little (she sometimes still does) even though my name is Amelia Rose, and... I wasn't born in May.

No one is allowed to call me any of those names except my mom!

I wonder if its a family thing? I have an Emma Gail Mary in my family. I've never really cared for it, but she took the first names from both of the child's grandmothers as middle names.

My aunt thought her name until jr high was "Elizabeth Anita Cindy Betsy". Because her older sister wanted to name her Cindy Betsy, and I guess it got tacked on (although legally that wasn't her name). Betsy is her nickname (for Elizabeth) though.

When I was little I called my baby sister "Corita" and her name is Irene Mariam. I remember thinking of a forrest when I said it and I continued to call her that for a few years. Now I just call her Riny (Ree-nee)

My name is Sarah Amy, and everyone used to call me Sarah Jane (apparently Jane is a popular middle name for Sarah..) I call myself Sera, to distinguish myself.

My fiance calls me Eliza (when I am being a liar) and also Winifred when I am being silly.

yeah, Maria and Mary are the same name, but I'm wondering if maybe the baby is called Anna Maria? Still really repetitive though, if they were trying to name the kid after someone I think they've gone overboard.
