May. 16th, 2005 04:55 pmHello! I'm new to this community, and I would love to have some feedback on the names my significant other and I have chosen for our baby ( I am currently 13 weeks pregnant). We decided on Gracian for a boy and Cordelia for a girl because we both love the way they each sound. However, I have somewhat of a sticking point as far as middle names go. The child's last name will be Parker, so anything ending in -er for a middle name sounds kind of strange. Also, with Cordelia anything ending in an -a sounds equally strange to me. I'm partial to using maiden names as middle names and each of grandmothers have beautiful maiden names: Arrasmith and Meredith, respectively. Does Cordelia Meredith Parker or Gracian Arrasmith Parker strike anyone's fancy?
Also, does anyone have any suggestions that would sound appropriate with Gracian and Cordelia?
The only thing we really do not care for are biblical names because of personal preference and I think we're planning on being surprised by the sex of the baby at birth. Thanks!

Date: 2005-05-16 05:59 pm (UTC)I'm not terribly fond of Gracian, sorry to say. The way it comes out for me is "Grayson" with a bad lisp. Maybe I'm saying it wrong.
Cordelia Meredith is lovely.
