how do you pronounce Nevaeh? like Nev-uh?
Anderson is a LAST NAME!
Anna Flavia sounds like a kind of pizza
Caerdwyn..? how do you pronounce that?
i first thought Jenyalis was a badder version of Genitalis
Na'sir?
A'zion?
Chi'Zae
Gwenyn.. gwen-in? why?
Ransom? Last week i had an english test and the word ransom meant the money you had to pay when someone is kidnapped, please tell me there's another meaning of the word Ransom

i'm quite surprized the name Joep is in this survey. It's a nice old dutch name. I like the sound of it and nowadays its getting more and more popular in holland. I love the joy-ish sound in the name^^

I've heard Nevaeh pronounced Nuh-vay-uh. I've also heard it Nuh-vie-uh but I think that's less common.

Nevaeh is heaven spelled backwards. I hate that name.

There was a little girl who went to my mom's daycare named Anderson and they called her Andi. I thought it was weird at first, but then it grew on me and I thought it was kinda cute.

Incidentally, there was also a Nevaeh, and it's pronounced Nuh-vay-uh.

Tea..is that supposed to be pronounced "Tay"?

I HATE the name Rocky.

Topaz?

Jomary? My mom's name is Mary Jo..

Shyann. Rofl.

I don't like Huntel, I hate the name Maycie, wtf @ Mattingly, Deckyse?

99% of those are horrible. Greyson isn't bad. I think Chino Augusto was totally meant as a joke, poor kid..

Hmm...about the only ones I liked were Wyatt, Britton, Cali [although I think it's better spelled Callie since that's my kitty cat's name :-)], Elias and Jordan.

New York wins for having the worst ones ever. LoL

Tea..is that supposed to be pronounced "Tay"?

I dunno, but it doesn't matter how anyone says it's pronounced, when I look at it, I see Tea as in iced, and that's not a name.

Tèa is how it's supposed to be.

I've seen Anderson used as a first name in lots of places.

Case in point: CNN's Anderson Cooper. :D

I personally think Riona is very pretty, and I love Noella.

The rest of the names I could do without. xD

I think maybe you're thinking of Judas? I don't think there's anything bad in the Bible about Judah.

I figured that, like the actress, but it still reminds me of iced tea.

Dear New York and New Jersey,
Your baby names are making the rest of New England look like idiots.
Love
Girl from Connecticut.

ps: Greyson is totally growing on me now. Its so cute! Any background info on it?

That's what makes me think you're confusing Judas with Judah, since Judas is the betrayer of Jesus and the name is now almost synonomous with betrayer. Judah was an entirely different person, and though my knowledge of the Bible isn't extensive, I don't think there are any negative connotations associated with Judah.

Ahh, you're right, I didn't even notice. My mind must have corrected it because I expected it to say Jordan. LoL I like Jordan, but Jordon is just spelled wrong unnecessarily.

My son Damien was almost named Greyson.
It's on my list for the next one, if we have another.

I wonder if someone was a baseball fan to name their son Mattingly?

Oh no, I figured you were trying to be as unbaised as possible. But Greyson just stands out to me, and its refreshing to hear!

There was a RyKeese born in Maine, too, in the past year (I don't remember what month). I'd never heard that name before and I think I'd be happy to never hear it again o_0

If the child drawls enough, they could get into trouble with the police.

"What's your name?"

"Na'sir."

"Don't 'no sir' me, boy. Tell me your name."

And so on and so forth. :)

as a fellow girl from CT, I just have to say that trust me, there are certain hospitals whose list of newborns would actually put NY & NJ to shame if you can believe it.

though, I suppose they don't compare to the 'even worse' lists from NY & NJ that didn't make it on here either...

so, yeah! stop ruining New England you two! lol

While I agree that NY and NJ have some bad names there, they are not part of New England (though I understand close neighbours) so I think CT and the rest of New England is safe.

I live in Old England and the names are getting pretty bad over here, too. I should make a post.

Hahahaha, oh yeah. I can imagine that New Britain General gets some pretty bad ones. But I doubt they can compare to the worst of the worst in NJ and NY, right?

Where are you from? My husband and I are from the Hartford region, but we're living in NC for a few years.

In the overall scheme of things, most people group NY and NC into the New England area. But the names are getting pretty bad :p
