You rock! I was playing with the name of Georgia for awhile, but I think too many people would associate it with the state and not George. I also love the name Lola, especially because of the song "Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets." Mairwen pronounced like Mare-when?
I've been liking Jane lately. I wish we had the balls to call our daughter Mary Jane, but that would almost be too easy. ;) Arianna Jane has a nice finished sound to it.
It has a nice sound to it, unfortunately Jade is a "stripper name" in my husband's book. He's already turned down Breanna, Kendra, Lily and Jenna because of the stripper factor.
Well, my family pronounces it AIRianna (air - ee- anna), but I've ALWAYS hated the sound of it said like that so much. Some say it like "air - ee - ah - nuh", too but I don't like that one either. I love my name pronounced like "are - ee - ah - nuh". I use it that way as does my fiance, friends, co-workers, etc, etc. :)
My mother gets mad at me for not pronouncing it "the right way". It can be said three different ways though I tell her! lol I just prefer the latter because it sounds a lot nicer to me.
I think I hated my name so much when I was younger because up until I started getting older, everyone pronounced it the way my mother did and of course I hated the sound of it as I do today. As I got older, people started pronouncing it "are - ee- ah- nuh" and I started loving my name a lot more and pronouncing it that way. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't like my name to this day even still, hehe.
Just skimming through the community looking for names and came across this. We're bumping into eachother everywhere now lol
But yeah, weird, I always pronounced your name "are - ee - ah - nuh". Air - ee- anna sounds weird but that's probably because I'm used to pronouncing it differently.
