What are your thoughts on Beatrix? It's really not my style [I'm partial to African names], but I kinda like it. It means "voyager through life," which I like.

Also -- any ideas for a more unusual name that works well with Saralyn? I want to name my first daughter after my surrogate little sister but don't want an altogether ordinary name.

I like Beatrix. However, it's the (Dutch) Queen's name, so I doubt I would use it.

When I was a little girl I named my cabbage patch kids Beatrice and Beverly. I was a strange kid, apparently.

I like Beatrix quite a lot (because of Beatrix Potter, hee) but prefer Beatriz (mainly since I have a good friend of that name). Plus, great meaning.

hahaha our queen is named Beatrix. I think its a very posh name & i would never use it due to the fact that my queen is named Beatrix. Tho the name suites her very well :)
i like Bea and Beatriz

I'm not a fan of Beatrix at all.

Saralyn Felicity sounds quite nice I think.

I love the name Beatrix. If I ever have daughters, that will be one of their names.

Beatrix sounds too odd for rl esp in english speaking countries. Saralyn sounds altogether like someone was bored and was trying to be different for the sake of being different. Doesn't sound good regardless.

(Excuse my typing, one of my fingers is injured.)

I'm not a fan of Beatrix, Beatrice, or Beatriz... it's just not very... eloquent... to me.

Not a huge fan of Saralyn either, but I did like the suggestion of Saralyn Elyse.

I like it. I've thought about it before and would like the nickname Trixie.. but that's the problem with it. :(

I pronounce Beatrix Be-ah-tricks and Beatrice Be-ah-triss if that helps.
Hope that's clear, I'm still getting the hang of spelling sounds out.

Ever hear of Bellatrix? I don't know exactly where it came from but I heard it on another board. What about Rosamel?
