[identity profile] bexeh.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Thanks to everyone who replied to my post on 10th oct, everyone was really helpful and ive taken alot from it. Teao is still the only boys name me and Tolga have agreed on were still scolling for a middle name. Its one of those names, first time i heard it i thought, hmm thats strange but after saying it over and over in my head and adding other names its grown on me.

Looked it up, Teo is actually spanish for God but its meant to be pronounced Tay-oh, that ways ok but i preffer Tee-oh.

Im edging towards either:
Teao Eliott Turkozu
Teao Dillon Turkozu
Teao Owen Turkozu (dont really love it but owens my surname)
Teao Levi Turkozu
Teao Eli Turkozu

Ahh and as for Eli, I just dont like Ellie spelt 'Ellie' as its too young & cutesy but ive never heard of it pronounces EE-LIe for a boy and i LOVE it. i think i might have to think of a different spelling though, as i know a girl called Ellie spelt Eli and i cant get away from that lol.

Heard some pretty girls names from the last post but im still undecided. Although whoever suggested Lila Elif, i like it alot as well as Laila.

Teao Levi :-)

Eli as Ellie is a bit too 'ahh im cool my name ends in an ee sound so i'll add an I ono the end'
Becki
Abi
Candi

ehh i just dont like it i'm afraid! I do like Eli for bout though & Taeo Eli sounds great too.

The only thing that bothers me is that 'ae' makes the sound ay not ee. I (and most others im guessing) would pronounce Taeo tay-oh.

I really like Teao Eli. I agree with the other commenter, I think the a and the e could be switched 'Taeo' I think more people would pronounce it correctly.

Teao Eliott and Teao Levi are both nice. I want to like Teao Owen because it's your name, but the O-O is extremely awkward.

I'd definitely say Teo as TAY-o. I'd probably attempt Teao as TAY-o too, but I think it's a better spelling for what you want than Teo. What about Theo? Do you guys like that? Or does that small change in sound make a big difference?

Sorry, I don't really understand your paragraph about Eli. You're saying you want to use Eli for a girl but pronounce it Ellie? I'm not sure if you're in the U.S. or what, but Eli as a boys name is pretty popular right now, and only becoming more so. (By some freak coincidence 4 people on my friends list alone have son's named Elliott or Eli.) Trying to get people to pronounce that wrong all the time would make you crazy.

I do really like Ellie a lot though, especially as a nn for Elena.

But I think she wants it pronounced Tee-oh?

Teao Dillon and Teao Levi are my favorites. I don't like Teao Owen because when you say it aloud, the o's in the names kinda mesh together.

I still like Skandar, haha. Teao Skandar sounds cool. Heh. XD
