In fact, I'm far from it. I find it juvenile and completely pointless.

Yeah that's unfortunate, although I'm sure she has a choice about how she wears her hair... if I had a name like that I would avoid any resemblance of crustiness

I wouldn't ever name my kid anything that began with the same sound. Like, Thelma Thurmer. Sounds like a super hero.

I don't understand why some girls put gel in their hair. It looks gross. Her name is nice.. it's just unfortunate she feels the need to put gel in her hair and let herself get that nickname.

#1 if I were her I would go by Christine. Less rhyme-y.
#2 if I were you I would give some friendly advice in the best interest of the poor girl and her hair. Gel = bad.
