second post of the day!

So, I just remembered that I have a female friend with a pretty rare name- Fionnuala, pronounced Fin-noo-lah.
Thoughts?

Reminds me of Finola Hughes from the show How Do I Look? It's ok, but it reminds me of the word "funnel."

It looks like there are too many letters to to be pronounced that way!

I met a little girl with that name. It was so cute on her! I think the spelling is a little odd, I prefer another variation of the name (Finola, Fenella).

Yeah I agree, it looks like "fi-oh-noo-AH-luh" ... 5 syllables instead of 3! That'd be the only thing I'd find annoying about having that name, it's so easy to mispronounce if you don't know where it comes from

I think it's pretty as Fin-noh-lah, but i adore Finn for a boy so it reminds me of that a bit too much.
