Want to help me dream up first names that go well with the middle name Lillian?
We are just 5 weeks pregnant with our second child. Our 1.5 year old is Henry James. If this babe ends up being of the female type, she is destined to be some sort of Lillian. This would be in honor of my husband's favorite aunt, who is no longer with us.
We are open to the idea of using a variation like Lily or Liliana; however, my husband would prefer to use Lillian. Ideas?
Thanks!
Gwenna
Cora
Louisa
Brena (bren-ya)
Lucia
June (I probably shouldn't use this, though. Baby is due in June.)

Date: 2006-10-03 05:05 am (UTC)We just don't want to use Lillian as a first name because we are trying to give all of our kiddos unique first names and then meaningful middle names. Ehh, lol.
It is a pretty combination, though.

Date: 2006-10-03 05:12 am (UTC)I really don't think Lillian is that common. I've never met anyone named Lillian, although I've heard Lily and Lilliana and Illiana being used a bit more often.
With Lillian in the middle I like Gwenna Lillian the most, but doesn't have the same ring :-D

Date: 2006-10-03 05:27 am (UTC)Like, my son is Henry James because my father is James. We wanted to give him a first name that nobody close to us had because we wanted him to have his own identity.
I don't know if it will really make a difference in his future attempts at uniqueness; but, hey, we tried. lol!

Date: 2006-10-03 05:48 am (UTC)other suggestions:
Ruby Lillian came to mine also, as did Adeline Lily (variation, but pretty, I think); Meredith Lillian; Audrey (or Audra) Lillian; and Thea Lillian won't let go of my brain (Theodora Lillian is beautiful to me, but it is not, I admit, everyone's style).
Pretty pretty names. I love both Louisa and Lucia but I wouldn't use either with any variation of Lillian, because of the harsh double L sound.

What do you think?
