I really really like it as a combo and with the names separately.
But it does sound like 2 last names, which can be weird. Thatcher Leland Johnson, for example. That's a lot of last names in a row. Thatcher Leland Thomas is weird because Thomas is so often a first name.
Sorry, but when I hear Thatcher I can't get past Margret Thatcher. It's such an unfortunate association IMO, and I have a feeling other people in the UK feel the same way. Just forbid the kid from traveling here and it could be ok :).
I like Leland though, I also think it flows better with Leland first.
