This is what behindthename says: From the name of the amaranth flower, which is derived from Greek αμαραντος (amarantos) meaning "unfading". Αμαραντος (Amarantos) was also an Ancient Greek given name.

I like it because it's derived from my favorite word of all time, which is "amaranthine," meaning:

1. Of, relating to, or resembling the amaranth.
2. Eternally beautiful and unfading; everlasting.
3. Deep purple-red.

I'm not sure what I think of each name (will consider each one below) but I LOVE the list. It's very me, I think. I don't know if that makes sense or not.

Amarantha - I don't like any nth sounds, so I guess no. I DO like the meaning!
Alden - I really like this! Way better than Alton.
Alan - meh
Regan (f) - I like that its from Shakespeare
Gavin - Cool, but kind of trendy
Jack - Classic. Great.
Fleur - Would be a nice middle name. Not into French though
Anastasie - I prefer Anastasia
Ivan - No way.
Fae - Meh. I don't really like -ay sounds
Liliana - So pretty!
Leland (m) - I LOVELOVELOVE a band by the name of Leeland, and a comedian by the name of Leland, so I think I love it!
Arielle - I like this spelling.
Celestina - Mmmm. I think I like Celeste better, but it's nice.
Rowan (m) - NMS
Tessa - LOVE IT
Isolde - I like it a lot
Seraphina - Mmmm I don't think I like it. I like Sera though.
Anabelle - Gorgeous!
Helena - My fave from this list!
Bijou - NMS at all. Too French
Soleil - Way too French, but I like the meaning

Jack - love this. It's the name of my baby cousin so i'm biased. It's pretty popular here (UK)

Fae - I like this, but only spelt Faye. Fae is scottish for 'from' so seeing it spelt Fae just makes me think of that

Isolde is pronounced eece-OLD. Eece rhyming with fleece, lol. It's from the Irish love story of Tristan and Isolde, which was recently made into a movie.

Yup, an amaranth is a plant. A very pretty, purplish red flower. I like it for the word amaranthine, which means unfading and eternally beautiful. Though I think I like Amaranth better than Amarantha now.
