Apparently fruity names are not confined to the realm of celebs anymore. They're branching out to the rest of the population too. At the place where my stepson goes after school, there was a birth announcement that one of the swimming teachers had a baby girl Riley Peach. (incidentally, the mother's name was Liberty, which I found interesting since I'd just read the post here where someone asked opinions of that name.) How do we feel about 'Peach'?
On a show that I was "watching" (srsly, I really wasn't watching it, just enough to see the names.) tonight, there was a couple with a daughter named Raven (which to me would be prn. Ray-ven. and to everyone else it was... but her mother kept saying her name Ray-vah-nuh. weird.) and their son was called Deuce (though I heard him introduced peripherally as "John" which was his father's name, so I guess it was just their way of not calling him "Junior".) What do we think of these names/nicknames?
and at the park today I met Mackenzie (almost 4) and her little 1 month old sister Morgan. I think I was grinding my teeth a little bit. This sibset really annoyed me for some reason. Maybe bc it seems extra overdone to me, seeing as I knew a family whose 3 daughters were Morgan, Madison & Mackenzie.
