No to Ella Mae. Ella is too popular and paired with Mae = Beverly Hillbilly (well, almost).

Maggie is a cute nickname for Margaret. Margaret Iris is pretty. :)

i don't really like Maggie and Iris together because to me, they don't match formality-wise. i think Maggie is a lot more playful than Iris, which seems older and i just don't think they go well. Ella Mae also sounds like a hick name to me...sorry :o/

Not a HUGE fan of either of them, although I do like Ella (but not with Mae, I don't think...)

I'd like Iris Ella or Ella Iris.

Maggie doesn't do much for me, and I really don't care for Mae which never sounds good as a mn to me. It always makes the combo sound too country-hick.

I'm so tired of Ella. Ella Mae sounds too close to "Ellie Mae," and I wouldn't want a kid's name to sound like a Clampett's ;)

I don't think Maggie and Iris really work together, but both are nice names.

I like Maggie and Iris, separately. Together, they don't flow too well.

As for Ella Mae, I agree with what everyone else said. Maybe find a different MN for Ella, because I think Ella's cute.

I don't like Mae at all for a FN or MN. What about Maeve? Ella is nice. As for Maggie Iris, I like Maggie, but as Maggie is a NN for Margaret, and Margaret means "daisy", it's kind of like naming your kid Daisy Iris.

I love Ella Mae. Its very elegant and will age well!

I dont care for Maggie Iris. I love the names but I think Maggie is very young for an adult women to have as a name. maybe, Margaret Iris and call her Maggie.

I think Ella Mae sounds like a jazz or blues singer. I wouldn't use it but it's quite nice.

My grandmother was named Maggie (short for Margaret). I don't know if it works very well for all ages.
