I've only heard it used as GAY-len. The guy I knew with this name was HOT, so I like the name by default. ;)

I like it. I like Gaylinn for a girl, too, which I know is way too kry8iv, but...I've always liked that, dunno why.

Love it! Like everyone else says, it's Gay-len or Gay-lynn.

I liked it and even suggested it to my SO, but he pointed out it would leave a boy waaaay to open to be called just 'Gay' throughout his school career. I knew a girl in school name Gala, which I always thought it was cute.

I was thinking of this name last night while watching a Star Trek TNG ep on dvd (character guest stars name) and I realized I really like it. It sounds very strong, handsome, not popular but not too much so. Only downside is the gay part that in could cause teasing especially in middle school - but you'll ultimentally get teased for one thing or another.

I really like it. I have always said it Gay Lyn. There is a series of books by Laurell K Hamilton, The Merry Gentry series, that has a faerie named Galen.

I knew a pretty cute boy a while back named Galen (Gay-lin), which is probably while I like it.

I love Laurell K Hamilton. I like the Merry series a lot better than the Anita Blake series.. I don't know.. it may be because I am bored with Anita. I love Merry though.

I think the kid might end up being called "Gay" and being teased for it. =\ It's not bad besides that.

I love it, but wouldn't use it for the "Gay" thing, unfortunately :( Not in any English-speaking country, anyway. It's too bad kids are cruel, because this is one of my favorites. Maybe as a middle..?
