Puppy Naming

Name this puppy (for my mom)! It's a male, 5 months old, Border Collie. My mom wants something dignified and 1 or 2 syllables. Three might be ok if the name is good enough or if there's a shorter nickname.

Archie. Definitely Archie. (Lead character in a great Scottish show called Monarch of the Glen.) And when he's in trouble he can be Archibald MacDougal.
