Apparently Britney Spears is having a girl and she's planning on naming her Jailynn in honour of her parents Jamie & Lynn, and sister Jamie-Lynn. I've always thought Jamie-Lynn was a stupid conncoction of her parents names, this is far worse.
IMO Jailynn is awfully trendy & ugly. Why would you want 'jail' in a name?

Anyone else? My guess is most people agree with me!

Jailyn is one of the most white trash names I can think of, so I'm hoping it's just tabloid-y stuff and not true. :(

I like it. Because of how I'm assuming it's pronounced (jai-lyn), I don't think the jail thing will be that big of an issue. It sounds pretty to me although I wish it only had one -n.

I actually like the name Jaylen, but it does smack of too trendy. And I only like it spelled that way. There was a Jaylen in my graduating class, actually, so it's at least 20+ years old, not as much of a new and exciting name.

I went to grade school with a girl named Jalyn, pronounced the same way. I don't dig the spelling much, but I don't think it's horrible. Combining your parents names is kind of odd.. and even odder that it's pretty much a jumbled form of her sister's name, but oh well =/
